May 20, 2023,An der Lauter entlang
Today I showed a friend one of my favorite tours, this one is similar to 'Hochgelauert'. Just so beautiful. The first half always ran along the Lauter, then it went steeply uphill to the Gemsfels and to the Wartstein rock castle ruins, built in the 12th century. What a breathtaking view of the Lautertal 😃 on the way back along …

Beginning at the hiker's car park in Indehausen - with an awaiting barbecue area and close to the water - the "hochgehlauert" leads the hiker through quiet nature past numerous castle ruins...

... for example the Maisenburg, which used to be a castle, or the Monsberg with its mossy charm.

Our second tour in the Lautertal - And again it was incredibly beautiful and impressive!
The weather was perfect again, blue skies with white clouds when we arrived and after the rain during the night the temperatures were pleasant.
We also walked the entire route down the valley on the right side of the valley and were therefore always in …

A beautiful, leisurely tour through castle ruins and along the Lauter River. Great forest trails with roots and rocks.
Highly recommended.

I stole the tour☺thank you for that. Magnificent tour always along the Lauter, the way back is the same as with 'high up'. Finally, a Lautertaleis...self-sufficiency from the chest...what more could you ask for😃

Fine tour from Unterwilsingen to Anhausen, up the left bank of the Rhine, back on the right bank of the Rhine - with the Rhine being called Lauter here. Great area, picturesque rocks - and beautiful bathing spots - says the old man. The labradors would have bathed everywhere here - hello?? I'm a Ridgeback!!!
Sometimes cyclists suddenly appear out …

We start at the hiking car park in Anhausen and follow the path to the right of the Lauter. At the hiking hut and the first bridge we do not follow the signs, but stay on the sunny side of the Lauter to the right.

The highlights don't match this tour because we walked directly along the Lauter River today and skipped the ruins and viewing rocks.

But they are definitely highly recommended.
