Hercules' Club

The Club of Hercules (Maczuga Herkulesa) is a rock club built from hard limestone rocks, located in Pieskowa Skała within the Ojców National Park, situated in the southern part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. It stands on a rock terrace 8-12 meters high, with the club itself being approximately 25 meters tall. It is a very characteristic element of the Prądnik Valley landscape and is one of the most famous rocks in Poland. It was formed as a result of the karst activity of water and the uneven resistance to weathering of the limestone rock that builds the formation.

Update from July 2022:
The renovation of the castle ruins is complete. The castle is open to visitors again. The entrance fee is 15 zł.
Tip: A particularly good service is available free of charge:
Please be sure to install the Android app "Zamek Rabsztyn."
There are numerous numbered information signs in the castle. You can select these in the app and listen to the explanations. Languages: Polish, English, and German.
The castle courtyard has been cleared of rubble and is now much lower than before the renovation.
There is now a modern café in the entrance area.
All corners of the courtyard and the tower are now accessible.
Unfortunately, all the stairs and railings are made of ugly, galvanized steel structures, which are completely out of place for a medieval castle ruin.
I definitely recommend walking around the castle. This gives you a nice impression of this large castle complex, and it's most beautiful from the outside anyway.
The parking lot in front of the castle is subject to a fee.
