Gera Lario — Lakeside and Marina

Highlight • Lake

The view from San Bartolomeo is simply stunning.
On the way up we recommend a short detour to Montemezzo to the church of San Martino in Burano.
When descending, it is advisable to take a short break so as not to overtax the brakes.
The hike from San Bartolomeo over the Alpe di Mezzo to Monte Berlinghera is also very nice and of course you can end the day in the valley: 5 Case - Ristorante Lario - Pizzeria Spluga, to name just a few. An ice cream at Olmo is also highly recommended.

Ganda Bridge in Morbegno

Highlight • Bridge

The most important of the bridges built astride the Adda, which has now become one of the symbols of Morbegno, is the Ponte di Ganda, whose name derives from the district in which it was built: Ganda, which is synonymous with stony, stony area.
The Ganda bridge was built in 1778 by the Milanese architect Francesco Bernardino Ferrari, after a flood had destroyed the previous bridge of the early 16th century.

September 24, 2024,La Valtellina Morbegno
We really like Morbegno, it's not that touristy, but it has everything your heart desires. Very nice shops, fresh pasta, cafes and small restaurants with excellent cuisine. We feel right at home here.

Showing Translation

A little bit of dolce vita is part of a holiday in Italy and we really enjoyed the delicious food in Morbegno and the stroll through town.

The Valtellina is a must. You can drive to Bormio car-free and have wonderful views of the side valleys. Morbegno is a nice, not so touristy town with lots of places to stop and have nice little shops.
