Highlight • Summit

The climb from Reano is beautiful. And beautiful views over the lakes of Avigliana, Val Sangone, Sacra di San Michele and also towards Turin when the clear and clear weather allows it ...

Lago Grande di Avigliana

Highlight • Lake

Of morainic origin like the nearby Lago Piccolo di Avigliana, the Lago Grande is a typical tourist destination for many people who want to take a trip out of town from Turin. Of particular interest on the shores of Lago Grande is the Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Laghi.

Small Lake of Avigliana

Highlight • Lake

The ride in mtb or on foot around the small and beautiful lake is fun and you see nature as it is, that is, where a branch falls, a tree is left natural as nature decides

Lakes of Avigliana

Highlight • Lake

The Avigliana lakes natural park is a treasure chest of biodiversity and represents a notable resource for Avigliana, both from an environmental and tourist point of view. The park is made up of three ecosystems: the two lakes, the Mareschi swamp and the moraine hills. The lakes are the only ones surviving among those formed following the last two great Pleistocene glaciations in the Susa valley. The Sacra di San Michele dominates this protected area from above, recalling that, since the year 1000, it has represented the point of reference for every person on a pilgrimage who crossed the Alps towards Rome or the Holy Land.

Sangone River

Highlight • River

The Sangone River offers a pleasant cycling and walking path, although in some parts the watercourse appears dry. Moving towards Trana, the river reappears, creating a perfect place to cool off in its shallow waters. Despite being a historic river that flows through Nichelino, some areas show signs of abandonment.

Nice ride through woods and wonderful views. The stretch to reach Pietre Rosse as per the route is partly suitable for gravel, at least I was unable to find a different route. (To be reviewed). Anyway, you get right down and you can climb without a bike for about ten meters like I did 😀. And off we go🌄🌄
