The village of Bolgheri has grown around a medieval castle belonging to the Counts Della Gherardesca.

Starting and ending point is Camping Etruria. Overall, I would classify the route as easy to moderate. Many kilometers are on normal roads. On the country roads, however, we felt quite safe because the drivers were considerate on the way.
