Saint-Ladre Pond

Highlight • Lake

The Etang Saint-Ladre Nature Reserve in Boves is located at the gates of Amiens, in the L’Avre Valley, a tributary of the Somme. In 1979, it became the first site in Picardy to be classified as a State Nature Reserve.
The ecological management implemented since the 1990s has made it possible to develop a complex mosaic of habitats among the most representative of alkaline peat systems, allowing the expression of characteristic, often heritage, flora and fauna.

Étang Saint Nicolas

Highlight • Other

Whether you are a fisherman, walker or jogger, this set of ponds is a haven of peace. The discovery circuit (1.2 km) deserves to be traveled and that we take the time to enjoy the landscape as well as the information terminals (bring a smartphone with a connection). Summer and winter, these places are quite busy.

Hébécourt Wood

Highlight (Segment) • Other

A pleasant passage in the woods, slight slope and not too technical surface. The wood is in a basin, so be careful the bottom can remain muddy for several days after rains.

With a temperature of 12°C and a grey sky around 9:30 am at the start this morning, the walk was not very engaging. We will have to get used to it because autumn is not far away and the leaves on the trees are starting to change color.
This did not stop us however and we did well, once again, …

Would summer finally be here? 🌞
I wanted to check it on the ground and it seems that yes, we hadn't experienced such temperatures for a long time. So, to celebrate this event, I prepared a cocktail 🍸 composed of 30% path and 70% road while avoiding areas in the undergrowth if possible. Along the way, I added some tall …

This morning, the sky was almost in a good mood🌞. Indeed, the sun agreed to show itself and this helped warm the atmosphere (between 10 and 16 °C🌡). On the other hand, the wind 🌬 had decided to make life difficult for us with gusts of 45 km/h for a good half of the route. Not cool...
But hey, we …
