Saint-Quentin

Highlight • Other

The beautiful, Gothic basilica can rival many cathedrals. Inside, the spaciousness of the main nave impresses with a view of the choir. It dates from the 13th century.
Since the end of the 15th century, pilgrims have been able to follow the path on a labyrinth behind the entrance portal, previously they followed the course on their knees. It is an octagonal labyrinth with a distance of around 260 meters.

Basilique Saint-Quentin

Highlight • Religious Site

Gothic church. Started construction in the 12th century and completed in the 15th century.
When we enter the church we stand hesitantly for a moment before the octagonal labyrinth inlaid in black and white marble in the floor of the nave, a phenomenon common to medieval churches. Pilgrims follow the path to the center of the labyrinth barefoot or on their knees, on their way to enlightenment and a deeper relationship with God.

You can also enjoy the horticultural garden, which incorporates certain elements of the Douchy church and the old garden of the Palais de Fervaques. The park is also surrounded by beautiful Art Deco houses on the avenues that border it. The Parc des Champs Elysées is an ideal place to enjoy nature and culture in the heart of Saint-Quentin.
