Despite its name, you won't get many views of the Bay here — but you will get to enjoy an easy, family-friendly walking trail.

Heads up: This trail is also popular with mountain bikers.

Palos Colorados Trail is a sweet single track along Palo Seco creek in Joaquin Miller Park, weaving between majestic Redwood trees (after which the trail is named). The trail continues another half mile beyond this segment further west to an exit of the park, where one can cross under Warren Freeway (CA-13) to follow Dimond Canyon trail through Dimond Park about halfway toward the Bay.
