Traeth Lafan is a nature reserve encompasses an area of mud flats. At low tide, the flats are a snack hub for a wide range of wading and sea birds. From this vantage point in the hills above, you can admire the full scale of the area with its channels of water.

Rhaeadr Bach (Small Waterfall Near Aber Falls)

If you take the trail further after crossing the bridge at the Aber main fall, and you walk a few minutes, not only you get great views on Aber falls, but as well you can discover another if smaller much quieter and charming falls

Takes you to one side or the other. Seriously!? Oh ok.... Beautiful places either side to sit and enjoy your lunch.... and also to watch people slip off the rocks and get wet. i.e. ME!!!

At 120 feet (37 metres) high, Aber Falls is a spectacular sight indeed. Best seen on a rainy day, the water thunders over the cliff like a curtain of water; crashing to earth with an almighty spray. A great attraction for all ages and abilities. The rocks below can get a little slippery, though, so take care.

Aber Falls Pathway

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A wide well constructed path that takes you from the old stone bridge all the way up to Aber Falls and further around the valley if you wish on some stout wooden bridges. It is a beautiful valley with the waterfalls being a popular attraction and very busy in summer.
The car park by the bridge is free but the car park further up (with toilets) requires payment. The access road leading to it is not suitable for motorhomes and neither is the parking/bridge.

Be careful stepping on rocks at the waterfall. even with great boots on, I still managed to slip and fall 5ft to the rocks and break a few ribs. was a painful walk back to car park.
