The idea of building a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Vistula River has been around for years. In 2016, the investment budget was included in the multi-annual investment plan of Warsaw. When choosing the location, two concepts were mainly taken into account: at the height of Karowa Street or at the height of Ratuszowa Street. Ultimately, the choice fell on the first one. This is another concept for locating the Vistula crossing in this place. The design competition was won by DKFS Architects and Schüßler-Plan. The length of the crossing is 452 meters. The crossing was opened on March 28, 2024
