For more than 100 years, participants have been setting off on their bikes to the Elfstedentocht on Whit Monday, meanwhile around 20,000 cyclists. The 235-kilometer route begins and ends in Bolsward. We are immediately greeted by a cheerful, exuberant mood. The immense preparations are complete, today's Pentecost Sunday is already running a first scooter event.
