Very nice bike tour around the Leipzig lakes. The route is well signposted and easy to navigate. Only the route around Lake Zwenkauer is partly very bumpy (roots under the cycle path) and partly runs along the road.

After a hearty breakfast at the Sole Mio harbor restaurant on Lake Cospuder, we took a sporty approach, so only a few pictures 👍🚴

2 weeks after Corona it was time to get back on the bike and see what's going on. The Leipzig lakes were not on the agenda this year and you can extend or shorten the round as you conditionally manage it.....it went well, so 3 lakes managed, the 4th touched. The church ruins in Wachau have been on our list …

The bird catches the worm early! According to this motto, we set off today for the Leipzig Neu-Seenlandschaft. Especially the Cospudener See is extremely "traffic jammed". But we were lucky and the lake bypass was very relaxed. Very well developed cycle paths and the good weather made for a good mood today.

The start was at the canoe park in Markleeberg. As always, a beautiful route that can be extended at any time as desired.

4 lakes in one go:
Sörmthaler See, Markkleeberger See, Cospudener See and Zwenkauer See

The weather forecasters had predicted sun and pleasant temperatures. So we hopped on our bikes and cycled around 4 lakes.

The route is wonderfully traffic-free, only in Markleeberg does it go through the town. On the wide farm/cycle paths you often have a clear view of …

I went back to Leipzig a little earlier than usual, with my parents in tow. 👨‍👩‍👦 With my mother I took a nice tour from the Störmthaler, past the Markkleeberger See to the Cossi. 🏞️ At Lake Zwenkauer, my father waited at our almost usual spot to read my mother in again. 🚐🛣️

Testing out a new bike before a vacation tour, it's a 38 km journey to pick cherries. Setting off right before the 7:00 am beach party, enjoying the summer sea air, swimming, and then harvesting. And getting back before the heat sets in.
