Strada Cannoni

Highlight • Trail

A high track in a stunning setting, the cannonball run of gravel riding. Bring your fat tyres (it's been re-surfaced in places since the original TNR events though so it's not quite the pinball experience that it once was).

A nice break on the long climb of Strada dei Cannoni. Nice views to the southern valley and to the eastern mountain, and also to the western side.

Strada dei Cannoni

Highlight • Trail

The Strada dei Cannoni is an iconic military road, built in the 18th century on the watershed between the Maira Valley and the Varaita Valley. The intent was to facilitate the passage of men and military vehicles, but - despite its name - it was never used for military purposes and today remains an exciting route for mountain bike lovers.

Here, in fact, you can pedal with the fresh air caressing your face and letting yourself be enchanted by the magnificent panorama that ranges from the Maritime Alps to the Cottian Alps.

The Sanctuary of Valmala is a much loved destination by the faithful and not. From here starts the path that leads to the summit of Monte San Bernardo.

Route inspired by the Torino Nice Rally but adapting it to make it circulate and take advantage of the Strada dei Cannoni a little more.
Very hard climb to the Colle di Sampeyre from Melle that in 27km we make 1600m of unevenness. The good thing is that from here there is very little unevenness.
We lower the pressures to …
