In 1676 a plague broke out in Tarnowskie Góry, then pilgrims from the city pray in front of the image of the Mother of God, and when they return, the plague begins to subside. On the way back, the painting stopped in Hradec Králové, where people also suffered from the plague. A year later, the city offered a votive picture to Piekary as a token of gratitude.
On August 20, 1683, King Jan III Sobieski, on his way to Vienna, where he fought a victorious battle with the troops of the vizier Kara Mustafa, wanted to pray in the church in Bakery, where he heard a mass and asked for victory in front of the image of Our Lady.
