Bayshore Bikeway (aka, Silver Strand Trail)

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

The paved Bayshore Bikeway path gets the nickname "Silver Strand Trail" since you pass right by Silver Strand State Beach while traveling on the trail. The path is completely paved and usually has traffic lines painted on it. It's really flat without a ton of shade, but a bunch of different parking areas allow you to park wherever you want to do your out-and-back run.

The trail technically runs all the way from Glorietta Bay Park in Coronado to the Main Street bridge parking area in Chula Vista (a total of approximately 9 miles in one direction). There are a handful of spur trails leading to different beaches and natural areas that you can run down along the way.
