The Penitencia Creek Trail in San Jose, CA, is a 3.9-mile paved urban trail ideal for biking, walking, and jogging. It runs from the Berryessa/North San José BART station to Rock Circle, connecting parks, playgrounds, schools, and natural areas along the way. The trail follows Penitencia Creek, a tributary of Coyote Creek, and offers scenic views of the urban landscape and nearby parks, including Penitencia Creek Gardens and Penitencia Creek Park. The trail is easy and relatively flat, making it suitable for cyclists of all skill levels. However, the trail is not fully complete; there may be partial or full closures due to ongoing construction or maintenance, so be sure to check current conditions before heading out on your ride.
