The Heldingkerk is one of the oldest buildings in the village of Hoenderloo. The church dates from 1858 with the first reformed minister Ds. F. van Loenen.
Ds. Ottho Heldring, also known as the discoverer of Hoenderloo, is the founder of the Reformed municipality that started in the year 1854.
The building, built in Neo-Gothic style, has been listed as a historical monument since 2000 and the interior underwent a major overhaul in 2005.
Since 1968, the church has also had an ecumenical function and Roman Catholic services are also held there.
