The Salzbödetal offers many opportunities for exciting bike tours. I've driven in both directions. Most of the time I ride from the Lahntalradweg shortly before Odenhausen to Salzboden and then follow the Salzböde. After Salzboden you can decide to turn right along a wildly romantic path along the Salzböde to Schmelzmühle and further to Verstalstraße just before Reimershausen or - If the path to Schmelz is not very passable due to the weather - turn left on the country road towards Krofdorf-Gleiberg. There I cycled through the forest up to Krumbach and on to Dünsberg or - following the Salzböde - towards Damm, Lohra, Mornshausen and Gladenbach. From there, the Salzbödetal offers a good opportunity to reach Ebsdorfergrund with almost no climbs. All scenic tours there are recommended.
