Highlight • Historical Site

If you drive today on the country road from Nieder-Olm to Stadecken-Elsheim, just before you enter Stadecken on the left-hand side, only a small and inconspicuous grove of trees bears …

Nice round tour with beautiful views. The Hiwweltour is well signposted and not particularly demanding, so you can go there with a visit without much hiking experience

Saubach Valley

Highlight (Segment) • River

The Saubachtal was extensively renatured in 2017. Small ponds, open meadows and trees invite not only hikers, but also many animals to stay in the valley.

May 28, 2022,Hiwweltour Stadecker Warte
The last Hiwweltour we were missing. The way to the tour was full of birdsong, cuckoo and nightingale gave a concert.
We didn't like the first part of the Hiwweltour past paddocks and rubbish.
Only after the second rest stop, where we got to know Dieter (British Bulldog) and the owner, did we like the tour better.
Unfortunately, construction work …

The Hiwweltour Stadecker Warte is 10 km long and about 230 meters high with impressive views in all directions, as it leads around a hill. It is particularly worthwhile in weather with clear visibility and best during the flowering period. Peppered with numerous rest stops.

Not exactly the time for hiking tours, but the sky was overcast, there was a pleasant breeze and I got some exercise on the way to my daughter.
The paths were freshly mown and cleared.👍
Although they weren't "highlights" in that sense, they did offer great views over Rheinhessen. 🤩

Horst guided us today.

The sun even came out.

The paths were easy to walk on and there were plenty of nice places to rest.

We took a break in a hut, which was a welcome alternative in the cold.

Lots of rest options, which we were happy to take advantage of because the weather was great today and we just enjoyed the views.
This was a gift (Jochen Schweizer) from our children, so we also received some food. So we were able to extend the 10km to a good 4 hours.

Great tour, which I was missing in my Hiwwelttouren collection. I would have added the access route from the parking lot at the tennis courts to the Hiwweltour, because there are few or no parking spaces at the actual starting point of the tour. The parking lot is also very hidden. In the village follow the signs to the tennis …

Finally today, a Hiwwelt tour through the vineyards. A great signposted tour, with great views over the vineyards into the country. 🎶🥾🏔️🌞🍷🍷

Small late Hiwweltour with unexpectedly sudden dusk 😅

If you only start at half past three in January, you should expect dusk. But it was still quite nice with a bit of 🌞 and a little tour was needed.

The almost 10km of the Hiwweltour Stadecker Warte were just right.
