The checkout is just before the finish. The view currently costs 4 euros per person. The panoramic view is worth it.

Nördlingen Town Hall

Highlight • Monument

The "Stone House of Nördlingen" has been the city's town hall for over 600 years. A special feature is the open staircase made of suevite ashlar, added later in 1618 by Wolfgang Walberger – a building of significant cultural and historical importance.

Dinkelsbühl Old Town

Highlight • Historical Site

With its romantic half-timbered houses, the massive and completely preserved city wall, the narrow streets and the lively market place Dinkelsbühl seems to have sprung directly from a fairytale movie. No wonder that many different films have been shot here over the years. In the 1960s, even an American film crew was guests, who used the picturesque city as a backdrop for the film "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm".

Comments

July 10, 2024,Donauwörth nach Feuchtwangen
It was actually supposed to be another stage in sunshine. When we started in Donauwörth it was already overcast - that's good for cycling. Not too hot... Nördlingen was a lively place on the streets around Daniel (St. George's Church). On the way to Dinkelsbühl it started to rain - the route to Dinkelsbühl in the rain wasn't so bad …

Our third day begins early at the campsite. The tent is soaked from the night's rain and, despite all our hopes, it doesn't dry. So we pack it up wet. While Thomas looks after the tent, Jörg gets coffee. Breakfast is sparse - a cereal bar has to suffice.
