The name Oregon Shakespeare Festival can be a bit confusing as it is a repertory theatre that stages hundreds of performances between May & December, not just a handful over a week or two.

While Ashland is known for its University, stunning mountain setting, and budding wine industry the Shakespeare Festival is without a doubt its most famous attraction.

This pond greets you shortly after entering Lithia Park and it is always a good place to meet and have a chat on one of the benches. In the fall it really comes in to its own as the changing leaves add beautiful colors to the serene setting.

We are now having an unplanned Zero Day in Ashland - to research our options and plan what to do next. Since our supply package in Seiad Valley is no longer accessible for us due to the fire, we have to shop here. And because we miss hiking in between, we just have a look at Ashland Park. It's time …
