73Degrees Bikes & Coffee

Highlight • Rest Area

Great bike shop with coffee and cake on offer, an outdoor area for when the sun is shining and lots of bike goodies to lust after. Jim and his team are always very welcoming.

Avon Valley Railway at Bitton Station

Highlight • Historical Site

Home of the Avon Valley Railway - interesting stop around whether on a walk - cycling on Bath to Bristol cycleway or just popping in by car. Nice cafe for tea and food.

Bitton Railway Station and Café

Highlight • Structure

Great stop for the brilliant cafe, or to quickly use their loos. Some bike parking is available. Steam trains run along the track on a number of months, which is a lovely sight. Be careful when crossing the track though!

4.39 km

You can stop for a hot drink and/or snack in an old train carriage at Bitton station! A lot of the walk is along the cycle path - so it's a shared pedestrian/cycle route. Just to be mindful whether you are walking or on a bike that there will be others either going slower / faster than you & if on a bike to make yourself known 💚👍

River Avon Pontoon at Bitton

Highlight • Cycleway

This is a wonderful place for a wild swim and to stop for a picnic on your ride.

Tip by

6

8.02 km

Large open meadows next to a stretch of river perfect for a wild swim. Stay on the cycle path past the 'saltford' sign (if coming from Bristol) and take the footpath which goes down from the far side of the bridge over the river

The Little Coffee Shop

Highlight • Cafe

Great little cafe stop, pulling shots of Clifton coffee, with a little menu of snacks and sandwiches alongside plenty of cakes. Indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of space for bikes in the garden where it's easy to keep an eye, whilst enjoying your brew.

Tip by

8

9.91 km

A pleasantly woody way to join up Keynesham and Saltford, but beware of cars on the blind corners.
