Norwegian House Museum

Highlight • Historical Site

Beautifully restored Norwegian style house. It belonged to a wealthy Norwegian trader who settled in Iceland with his family. The wood for the house was prefabricated in Norway, cut to size and then shipped to Iceland by ship.
It was the only two storey house in Iceland for many decades.
Today it is a museum with beautifully furnished rooms from that time.
