I quickly did one of the Habichtswaldsteig trail's extra tours before the forecast rain. It was beautiful, and the trails were very varied... there was everything: tarmac, gravel, forest paths, and paths that were almost unrecognizable. It's a good thing I had Komoot with me, and all the H-routes are excellently signposted.

We started at the cemetery parking lot in Ippinghausen. Below the Weidelsburg weidelsburg.de we continued through deep beech forests. In between, however, you also cross large aisles again and again. But these are already being reforested. The H7 is very well signposted, but some paths are currently quite muddy and therefore very strenuous at times.
