August 30, 2023,Von Holenberg nach Bodenwerder
There is a long parking strip on the main road in front of the monastery complex. The monastery is worth a visit and is also open during normal hours of the day.
Our way leads along beautiful forest paths and paths past three interesting towers, which are worth climbing for a good view over the Solling. A highly recommended section …

So, finally I had time for another stage on my beloved WBT.
This time there was the Amelungsborn monastery as an extra treat. Otherwise, it was again lively on the ridge, with deluxe views into the distance on both sides.

The trail is still well signposted, there were numerous refuges and observation towers again.

That was a truly fantastic stage today 😊, the forest, grass, and field paths were simply fantastic 😍, and there was hardly any asphalt on the tour 😀.
The first 10 km were almost entirely uphill, as the elevation gain between Bodenwerder (80 m) and Ebersnacken (460 m) had to be overcome 😉. After that, it was a steep descent …

ᵂᴱᴿᴮᵁᴺᴳ Back in a region that has become a little dear to my heart: two years ago on the Weser cycle path and last year on the Weserbergland path, half of which I hiked and am now continuing! 🥰

I start my tour where I last ended it: in Stadtoldendorf - in the middle of the Weserbergland, on the edge …

Yesterday the challenge was the temperature and length of the track, today it was the temperature, the ups and downs and the water supply. After the last location, there is no way to refill the bottles. In return, I was offered a bottle of water in the monastery and I also took part in the midday prayer. The views from …

The seventh stage of the Weserberglandweg starts in Stadtoldendorf and takes us to the Amelungsborn monastery, a former Cistercian abbey, and through the densely wooded Vogler with its distinctive red sandstone.

We hike to the Ebersnacken, the 460 m above sea level. NHN highest mountain of the low mountain range and climb the 26 m high observation tower.

7th stage Weserberglandweg from Stadtoldendorf to Bodenwerder. Started in mixed weather and stayed dry. From Stadtoldendorf, it goes on flat paths past the Hooptal refuge in Vogler into the forest. Time up and down it goes to the first highlight "Amelungsborn Monastery". On the monastery wall there was a sign on the right to the monastery path, left to the …

June 12, 2023,Über den Vogler
Despite the hot weather, the stage of the Weserberglandweg over the Vogler was quite pleasant to hike, because a strong wind was blowing in the open areas, drying the sweat. The detour to the vineyard near Holenberg is worth it!
