Sophienfließ Nature Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Beautiful hiking trail along the Sophienfließ, accompanied by rustic beaver structures. If the water continues to rise, the path will probably have to be raised a little higher.

September 21, 2021,Durch das Stobbertal bei Buckow 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏻‍♂️
I (Frank) could still remember how as a child I climbed under the mighty roots of the Buckower "root spruce". But that was almost 50 years ago. In addition, Kyrill destroyed the spruce. Only a few root remains remained, but they are now slowly rotting away.

A beautiful route in perfect spring weather. Several times, it felt like we were in the low mountain range. ;). It had everything: water, forest, climbs, views. Unfortunately, there were no places to stop for refreshments, either closed or under renovation, so bring a picnic!

Nice hike, not too special.
The most mosquitoes I ever had in a hike were keeping me moving without a calm break. Perhaps it’s a seasonal issue - but definitely bring a mosquito spray with you…
The town Buckow though is really charming and worth a visit.
Trip to Switzerland - in style in the snow of course.

In the Stobbertal, at the Tornow lakes, on the Dachsberg, on the Poetensteig and even on the Sophienfließ - there was no one to be found anywhere.
Except me.
Fantastic!

Behind the Schloßberg there was a lot going on though - people were sledding like crazy.
