Cardiff City Hall and its lawn

Highlight • Monument

City Hall is a fine example of a civic centre. It is situated in the Cathay's district of Cardiff.

The building itself is magnificent, and it comes with some beautiful landscaped gardens and tree-lined avenues, too. There is a lawn opposite the building where you can sit down and admire this lovely landmark, it makes a perfect lunch-stop on your walk around the city.

Blackweir Bridge and Weir

Highlight • Structure

Blackweir Bridge crossing the River Taff, was designed and constructed in the 1980s by engineering students at nearby Cardiff University. The students evidently liked the feel of the earth moving under their feet, it can be a bit bouncy!
