Schweppenhausen is about 15 kilometers north of Bad Kreuznach and 11 kilometers southeast of Bingen in the lower Guldenbach valley. In the 19th century there were still more than 40 mills in the Guldenbach valley from the source to the mouth, eight of them alone in the small district of Schweppenhäusen. Heinrich Zimmermann bought it, invested a lot of time and money and repaired the mill and residential building years later. Today you can visit the mill wheel and millstone as well as the estate and rent the adjacent restored rooms.
