On the slope to the left appears the Cubero spring, dry or frozen for part of the year, and shortly after, where the mountain track turns to the left, the La Gitana viewpoint appears, with a giant compass to mark the hand with the iron needle the outstanding peaks of the landscape in the circle of the metallic compass. It was a spectacular day of sunshine and knee-deep powder snow. It was a tough climb, but the views from the top of Peñalara Peak were worth it. Breathtaking!
