The cycle path from Partwitz to Geierswalde leads through a beautiful forest landscape. It is well paved and very varied thanks to the transition from Partwitzer to Neuwiese See.

You almost feel like you're at the sea here - sandy beach, a bar, windsurfing, even some surf when it's windy.

June 23, 2022,Roter Adler 2022: Tour Brandenburg 4
Day 4: Cottbus - Senftenberg
Like the days before: a lot of nature, little traffic and people, actually always bike paths (sometimes a bit bumpy) and only a few roads.
However, the Brandenburg Tour is not for someone who needs coffee, cake or beer every hour. Since the village pubs no longer exist, you can hardly count on getting food …

A very beautiful route, where you can see how humans are changing nature. First, there are huge open-cast mines and then a very beautiful lake landscape, some with a Caribbean flair. At Bluno, the route runs almost entirely along the water.

The tour is a complete loop. It starts in Cottbus, a beautiful ride upstream along the Spree River. Then it follows the Spremberg Reservoir, which supplies Berlin with drinking water. I continue along the Spree to Spremberg.

After that, the route leads through the countryside for a while.

Showing Translation

Today we went via Spremberg to the beautiful Lausitzer Seenland, where cycling on the newly flooded quarry lakes is a poem with the highlight Rostiger Nagel😘😊👌 and that in the best weather

Showing Translation

The quality of the bike paths in the area is phenomenal.
I would have liked to set up my night quarters on the tower, but there were no attachment points for my hammock.
Now I'm sleeping downstairs in the hut. A swarm of bees on the left, me on the right. I hope it stays that way overnight

Showing Translation

Today the Brandenburg Tour took me to the lake district of Lusatia. Most of the route led over very nice cycle paths. Only after the “Lighthouse” restaurant were the cycle paths a bit busy, the weather was perfect and the landscape very varied.
