Day 4
Today we continued along the Canal des Vosges.
The weather is getting hotter every day, and the bike path is getting more and more beautiful. The bike path is well-developed and easy to ride. Anyone who cycles here will experience pure nature and plenty of peace and quiet.

Bonjour tout le monde 🙋‍♀️

I slept so well 😴... until about 1:00 a.m.... when a constant noise 🔊 in my dream woke me up.

Alarm in the hallways 🔊🔊... after a call to reception, it was probably a false alarm 🫣, but better than an evacuation.

From Nancy, transport ships can operate on the Moselle or on the Canal des Vosges, which runs on the left-hand side. The slope of the river - and thus also of our cycle path - is so strong that there is a lock after a lock every kilometer. However, many lock sections have been drained. Today was the most beautiful stage so far.
Very quiet along the canal and not many people.
There was even a stop with water and tools. We also found a cyclist's rest stop.

The last day of the trip was still bright and sunny.
The morning was cool, and the north wind followed us throughout the journey, making it very unpleasant.
The autumn colors were magnificent.
The canal runs alongside industrial wastelands, a reminder of its past and economic importance.

Rain was forecast for today. So we slept in and set off after a hearty breakfast. Short showers and mostly drizzling rain - rain jacket on, rain jacket off, all day. Great atmosphere along the canal

Water on the right, water on the left, water from above, and water splashing up from below. Today's rain was good for nature and bad for enjoying the scenery. The upper Moselle Valley is very, very beautiful, and the Moselle is allowed to roam freely and wildly. The Voie Bleue runs along the Canal des Vosges on a dam between …
