From the Lac of Robertville with (artificial) waterfall at the dam to Rheinhardstein Castle (1354) down to a narrow waterfall of 60m (highest in Belgium) below the castle further along the Warche and, since there was no bridge, waded through it, then the Climb steeply up the mountain and over the ridge with wonderful views back to the dam. Long 15 km hike that could have been great if not a large part of the trees along the route would have been cut. There are still various highlights, but the destruction of the landscape for the coming 20 years degrades the beauty of the hike significantly.

A lovely hike in Belgium to round off the Christmas season in Aachen, visiting my daughter. The narrow paths wound their way up and down along the Warche River near Robertville. Right at the start, there was a romantic view of the castle, followed by a stream crossing that left me with wet feet.
