Slowly the forest becomes lighter and you can see more. The paths are still good to drive. The signage is not consistently good.

Today, I was glad I got off my full-suspension mountain bike. Many of the trails were deep with sand or rocks. Not suitable for gravel, I'd say.

The first highlight was a monastery that is still completely intact, and the second was the Chateau de Bernstein, a large, well-preserved castle ruin.
