🥾 Turn off for the walking loop leading to Port Pin cove!
Walking Loop: Trou souffleur and Port Pin Beach

🔓 Secure your bike (illustrative photo) and walk 5 to 10 minutes to the cove!

🌲 Port-Pin: a fragile jewel to be preserved!

🙏 Please take the right steps to preserve this treasure and ensure everyone's peace and quiet!

Between Port-Miou and En-Vau, Port-Pin cove captivates with its beauty and easy access.

⛵ From the fishing port to a movie set
In the past, fishermen (the "pescadous") would land here and relax under the pine trees – hence its name.

🎡 In the 1960s and 1970s, the cove was home to a very popular open-air café. People even drove down there! Relics from that era are still visible at the far end of the beach.

🎬 In 1970, it appeared on screen in Borsalino, starring Delon and Belmondo, in the middle of a Marseille showdown.

🥾 The Blue Trail and its viewpoints
From Port-Pin, a blue-marked trail runs along the cliffs towards En-Vau.
🌄 It leads to magnificent viewpoints overlooking the sea and the pine trees, perfect for a contemplative break. Developed in 2007, it pays homage to the spirit of the place.

🛡️ A forgotten military past
During World War II, Port-Pin was a strategic area of the German defensive wall (the Südwall).
A battery is still visible above the beach. At the time, the cove was patrolled, ready to repel a landing.

🌿 Port-Pin is a natural treasure to be discovered... and preserved.

"In the evening, after the setting sun has transformed the horizon into a line of fire, the sea into a desert of sand, and one by one the stars have come to watch over us, we will return home enriched with memories that cannot be bought: smelling the salt as before, experiencing the fullness of our living flesh, tanned by the sea winds and baked in the sun, subject to the play of our muscles, while our minds still wander there—so close, yet so far—in this world apart between Marseille and Cassis."
Gaston Rébuffat

Former parking lot. Starting point for many circular routes. Attention, if you want to go here despite the closure, you should consider that this path is also the only access to the forester's house. A couple of particularly smart ones have parked here and were pretty excited about the parking tickets :-)

Great view of the coast and the calanques. A dirt road, but with a trekking bike is hard to drive. Some places are tarred others again blocked. If it's too easy, take one of the trails to cut short. He sees less then.
