On October 21, 1989, the city inaugurated the fountain sculpture "Paar-oh-die" on the Neuer Markt, causing heated debates. Cohn-Scheune Jewish Museum, Rotenburg (Wümme)

The Cohn barn is the last existing "original building" of the Jewish family Cohn estate, which was located at 32 Große Straße. In the 19th century, half-timbered barns belonged to the typical stock of inner-city residential buildings. The Cohnsche barn was built in 1834 and then rebuilt several times and expanded.
