Rupperts Gorge

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

The path leads at the most beautiful point through the stream bed, sometimes with wire ropes to hold on to. A bit challenging, but really worth it! Can also be done with dogs.

It was a nice and relatively easy tour. The descent through the Ruppertsklamm rounded off the trail. Secured by ropes, the descent can be classified as suitable for people over 60. However, beware of heavy rain. Luckily we had nice weather.

Got a feel for the altitude and distance 😄😊 the gorge was amazing!

I had the gorge planned for the third time, and today it almost didn't work out again. Due to rail replacement services and a major road closure in the Lahn Valley, local transport is a bit difficult. But after a detour via Koblenz and relocating the starting point to Niederlahnstein station, it finally worked out. All I can say is: …

Final sprint. In bright sunshine, I set off on the last leg toward the mouth of the Lah River. And I think it was a truly beautiful, even perfect, end to the last 2.5 weeks. I headed toward Fachbach through a former vineyard. The subsequent climb was another bit of a challenge, especially given the temperatures. And somehow, my pack …

This morning we headed toward Bad Ems for a weekend getaway. Our hike started in Lahnstein (where temperatures were still bearable) and took us through the Ruppertsklamm Gorge and along the Lahnsteig trail to Bad Ems. The tour through the Ruppertsklamm Gorge was beautiful, but unfortunately, much of the rest of the trail was along forest roads, which I personally …

Vitamin-rich hike 🍇🍇, which also requires some courage towards the end 🐐🐐. 😎😍

Unfortunately, our vacation is over today. We have been on vacation since September 2020 on the Lahnwanderweg from the source in Nephten near Bad Laaspe, 18 stages have walked a tour we couldn't do. It was quite an experience to hike through different landscapes sometime after the 18th stage.
