Epsom Downs Descent and Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A short, fun stretch of road from the Downs back into Epsom. Easy to pick up some good speed or get the muscles going at the start of a ride. Watch out for the roundabout halfway down.

Headley Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Not the steepest or longest but the changing gradient and poor surface makes it harder than it looks, and hard to get it right (I never do)! A few nice sections covered in trees.

Headley Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A great alternative to Box Hill in both directions, especially at the weekend when Box can be very busy. Undulating all the way, but very quiet and mostly car-free.

Henfold Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Beautifully smooth tarmac, looks like part of a racing circuit with the solid lines down the side and no central lane markings. Most cars use the parallel A24 dual carriageway so nice and quiet

Denbies Wine Estate

Denbies Wine Estate, England’s largest vineyard, is situated on the outskirts of Dorking in the Surrey Hills. Approaching the expansive Denbies Estate, for a moment, one could really be anywhere …
