Magdalena Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

This is the most important bridge of the four medieval ones that cross the Arga as it passes through Pamplona.

It was built in the twelfth century and later renovated in the nineteenth century. It consists of five large slightly pointed arches, triangular tajamares and semicircular discharge arches on the supports. It is related to that of Puente la Reina. A transept, probably built in the sixteenth century, points the traveler at one end of the bridge to the entrance of the Camino de Santiago to the city. In it you can see the image of the Jacobean saint.

After crossing this Romanesque bridge, the pilgrim arrives at the Tejería Park and from there to the walls of Pamplona, under the old city of Navarrería, which is accessed by the Portal de Francia.

Ezcabarte River Park

Highlight • Parking

A city park near Pamplona with toilets, children's playground, water points and benches in the shade. I was even able to stay overnight here with no problem, locals said it was allowed and some stayed overnight with the van along the road
