After we checked in at the Kirchenwirt a little above Dobbiaco, we of course wanted to make the most of the afternoon. The tour to Lake Braies almost always led along quiet side streets or cycle paths. And the mountains all around are just impressive!
At the lake the tourist trouble is even greater. Since we already knew the area …

Legs were heavy after a few hours in a car, but they still could lift me up to the pretty Lago di Braies. It's quite a crowded place, easily accessible by car or bus, and very pretty!

Great first experience in the Dolomites!
