The loop is really easy to cycle. Between Machern and Wurzen, you should definitely not take the shorter route; that would be the B&, which is busy and doesn't have a bike path. So, it's better to take the small detour via Zeititz.
The village square in Thallwitz (km 30) is a good place to take a break.
