Britannia Miners' Barracks Ruins

Highlight • Historical Site

A stone-built terrace of former miners barracks, now roofless. Purpose built to provide accommodation during the week for the miners who worked in the Snowdon Britannia Copper mines during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The mine closed in 1916.

although most of us hiked up, we decided to turn back at the cloud line, the rain exertions would have been "rewarded" with a lack of visibility on the mountain
