Knightslow Wood is part of Lyme Park, a large estate boasting a magnficent, Grade I-listed mansion house, formal gardens and a deer park. You can get a lovely view of the mansion from the trails here. The woodland is home to four possible bowl barrows, a type of burial mound. However, it's also thought that they could be purely ornamental, put in place as part of Lyme Park.
