Highlight • Natural Monument

For me one of the most beautiful cycling destinations in the region. From Halle I always take the Saale Cycle Path to the Brachwitz ferry, cross over there, return to the Saalekiez and drive back via Franzigmark and the "Hafen".

June 5, 2022,Halle - Bernburg (E10 Flüsse-Tour)
That was a nice route today, especially the second part was always different in terms of landscape. Now I've arrived in Bernburg, I really like what I've seen so far. Now I have to explore the town a bit and also today's town festival with the fair! 🥳

Day 5 of our tour across Germany 🇩🇪 started with a train ride to Halle. (see Tour 5.1)
What a blessing! Today we have enough time to do some shopping and then enjoy some sightseeing in Halle.

We are impressed by Halle's 'Market Church of Our Dear Women'. Instead of today's market church, there were originally two Romanesque buildings close …

Today by train to Köthen, meeting with colleagues and visiting the zoo, at 2:30 p.m. we cycled back to Halle. First from Köthen to Bernburg, approx. 30 km on the European cycle path R1, which is also signposted up to Bernburg. Everything was there: asphalt, dirt roads, cobblestones (but not so much), quiet country roads, cycle paths alongside the road. …

Luckily it wasn't that hot today! But there was a fresh wind, not always from behind 😂
Leaving Halle from the youth hostel to the cycle path was special - lots of construction sites and diversions again. But then you came towards Peißnitz and Ziegelwiese, where it was very nice, there were also a few restaurants there. Too early for …

A section of the Saale Cycle Path that I can highly recommend. Even if Halle is a bit overwhelming at the end...but maybe that's just me.

Today I cycled a section of the Saale cycle path again. And that's it!! Spring weather accompanied me on easy-to-ride cycle paths along the Saale. Flowering bushes and the first green shoots on the trees, simply beautiful.
This cycle path has nothing to hide.
Repeat, again and again.

Today we went to Bernburg along the Saale. The landscape was very beautiful again and the weather was good too. The rest of the D11 from Bernburg to Berlin was driven last year. So today there was a long train ride ahead of us.

After a two-year break, we will complete the Saale Cycle Route. We started in Halle at the Frohe Zukunft, as we were able to leave our car at a friend's house there. First we had to go right through the city to get to the point where we left off. On the Peißnitz Island we looked for a bench to …
