NCN 2 Woodland Path

Highlight (Segment) • Forest

This is a lovely path but it is wholly unsuitable for road or touring tyres for most of the year. The path gets very muddy and is always one of the last paths to dry out in the summer. If you're following NCN2 and don't have off road tyres I'd suggest using the new cycle path alongside the A27 between Polegate and Berwick.

Quite a retro pub with nice outdoor seating (front and back) and an excellent Ploughmans.

Set amongst 120 acres (49 ha) of green landscape, Arlington Reservoir is a designated Local Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest which is home to many different animal species. The reservoir is a popular place to birdwatch – the best spot is from the Osprey bird hide on the northwest bank. Look out for cormorants, swallows, mallards, coots, canadian goose, and black swans. Horam Old Station

Highlight • Cycleway

Great cafe (Cadence Cafe) is at the Horam station on the Cuckoo Trail. Nice clean toilets there too and a water outlet for refilling bottles.

Example of a station house now converted into homes, would make a great spot to open a cafe in the summer.
