Bend Brewing Co. is the second oldest brewery in town and is a great place to stop. The staff is very welcoming, and the pond-side brewery serves up some of the best bar food in the city along with their award-winning beers by way of an expansive lawn, complete with food carts and an outdoor bar.

Deschutes River Trail – Old Mill Reach

This section of the Deschutes River Trail is part of a 12-mile-long system offering trails connected via three footbridges on both sides of the river. It is wide, paved, and a great way to get some cycling in off the street. The Old Mill District is here and was once home to two large lumber mills. It is now a mix of trails, parks, shops, restaurants and other businesses.

Farewell Bend Park sits along the Deschutes River and is a popular launching location for float trips on the river. There are plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, and a playground with a lumber mill theme that is a popular spot for kids and families. It is a lovely spot to watch nature, from birds in the sky to waterfowl in the natural marsh areas.
