Saint Christopher's Church, Boughton Lees

Highlight • Historical Site

This medieval, Grade II-listed church has had several functions throughout its long life. It started out as a hall house, houses for Yeoman farmers in the medieval era. It then had a stint as a barn and a village school before becoming a church. In the area, its function was as a winter church, as opposed to the summer church in neighbouring Boughton Aluph which had no heating.
