Great Thekenberg

Highlight • Natural Monument

A beautiful elevation along the ridge that leads from Langenstein to Quedlinburg. Up here you have a fantastic view in all directions. The heather that grows everywhere here blooms from July to September and gives the whole thing a special atmosphere.

A small note: Please stay on the paths to avoid unnecessary erosion and to preserve this landscape in its special beauty.

Regenstein Mill (HWN 82)

Highlight • Historical Site

Now it becomes historical: Who would suspect a former mill at this place? Reproduced mill wheels are impressive in the rock. Numerous Dokutafeln give info to the background. Above the mill is the passage from the mill race. A refuge and the stamp 82 of the Harzer hiking nobility are also on the grounds in the forest.

It was awesome. Around the old home on 90% trails.
Weather was 21 degrees and dry.
At km 24 an unplanned stop because the rear wheel got flat (rim tape had slipped and the tube had rubbed against the spoke holes).
The descent at Langenstein is crazy, better to use the stairs just before.
The sandstone caves are very nice …

I had my doubts that the tour would have more than 10 km of trails. But there were many more. The tour is absolutely amazing 😄 and has everything. It's technically challenging at times, enjoyable rolling in the shade by a cool stream, and sightseeing in beautiful Quedlinburg. I have to do it again at the next opportunity!

Goods 950m.
In frosty temperatures we went to Thale today to start the round there. It was featured in Bike Magazine a few years ago.
And I have to say the tour is just awesome 👌
Great trails that I had to myself during the week without disturbing hikers. And to see a lot again and again what the many …

Today we had the Teufelsmauer on the plan. Around 53 km in glorious weather and temperatures of over 30 degrees demanded a lot from all 19 participants today. Demanding for people and equipment 😉. Flowy trails, technical passages, carpets of roots, heels and courageous descents have all been mastered. In between there were also passages with fields, tarmac and dirt …

Today we went to the Harz.

The tour started in Neinstedt. From there we went along a beautiful trail to Quedlinburg.

There I admired the beautiful old town.

From Quedlinburg we went to the Thekenberge where the first ridge trail was waiting for me.
Pure Genoa. We continued to the Zwiehberge and to Lnagenstein.

Thank you for the lovely tour together!
FYI: @Oliver_2212 needs surgery on his collarbone.
It's broken.
But he's doing well so far. He thanks you again for the great organization and support!
