Moldenhütten Picnic Area

Highlight • Rest Area

Here is next to the starting point the only seating. The name Moldenhütten is derived from the hollows that used to be made by craftsmen in logs. This ore was mined or transported in bakeries the bread. Next to the rest area is an old hollow.

Highlight • Rest Area

Rest area right on the bike path with a small bench at the Moldenhütten living area. The name derives from the "Molden", with which ore was processed "smelted". A replica of a Molde stands directly at the rest area.

Forsthaus Lindhorst

Highlight • Structure

The Forsthaus Lindhorst is about 2.6 km south of Woltersdorf and about 2 km east of Luckenwalde; north on the Gottower Chaussee to Gottow. 800 meters east-southeast is the Moldenhütten residential area, which also belongs to Woltersdorf. Gottow itself is about 4 km east of the residential area Forsthaus Lindhorst.

As early as 1480, a building was reported that lay on the road to Lindhorst. The Schmettau map from 1767/87 lists several houses with the inscription Förster. In 1801 three Büdner families with a total of 28 people lived in the Büdner establishment not far from Luckenwalde. Four years later the living space appeared as Luckenwalder Busch. In 1817 a Büdnerestablishment and forester's house in Gottow with a residential building was reported. In the meantime the number of inhabitants had dropped to 15 people and in the following years it decreased to seven people in 1837. In the Urmesstischblatt the settlement is as U.F. Lindhorst listed. In 1855, the Lindhorst forester's office belonged to the Scharfenbrück chief forester's office within the hierarchy of the forest administration. In 1879 this head forester's office was moved to Woltersdorf and renamed the head forester's office Woltersdorf. In 1858 five people lived here. The further documentary mention of the forester's house Lindhorst, otherwise called Luckenwalder Busch, dates from the year 1861. In 1871 nine people lived in one building again, in 1885 there were ten. In the years that followed, the number of residents fluctuated between five people (1895), three people (1905) and six people (1925). From 1931 the forester's house Lindhorst was a dwelling place of Woltersdorf and came together with it in 1993 to the newly founded municipality of Nuthe-Urstromtal. The forester's lodge never had its own church and was incorporated into Luckenwalde.
