Stralsund is a great city. You can spend several days here without lying around in the sun or getting bored in any other way. The bridge to Rügen is clearly visible from here.

This tour should ideally begin in the morning in Barth, when the morning sun will sparkle beautifully over the Barthed Bodden. Then at lunchtime you can stroll through Stralsund and on the way back you will have the afternoon/evening sun again over the Grabow or the Bodden.
For us, this is one of the most beautiful tours in the area.

But today I had time and went for a little ride.....🙂

Day 2 ADFC tour on the Baltic coast with Pia. The rain only started in Stralsund,... lucky 😁

Important: Be sure to bring snacks and drinks for the tour—there's nothing on the way!

Before hitting the bike path, we still had to do the following: "At the Johannis Monastery," a picturesque residential courtyard, and visit St. Nicholas Church

The tour from Barth to Stralsund is very varied and was even fun when it rained. However, due to the change of direction, headwind is guaranteed. Conversely, of course, there is also a tailwind.
In Klausdorf you can take a detour via Barhöft. There is an observation tower with a view of the islands of Bock, Hiddensee and Rügen.

Geese, seagulls, and even the occasional crane—you can't complain 🦅
A struggle due to the headwind,
I set off early ☀️
Up through the villages, down the dikes,
that really wakes you up 🌳
Beautiful view of the Baltic Sea and the Bodden,
That can't be topped 🌊
The highlight was Kinnbackenhagen,
what more can I say...

Fantastic landscape, very beautiful part of the Ostseeweg. Endless reeds, huge fields, forest and a sleepy old town of Stralsund. 5 Stars

A super nice and varied tour. Almost only along the water and very well developed bike path.
