Monument to Vincenzo Bellini

The monument was built by the sculptor Giulio Monteverde on behalf of the municipality of Catania and was inaugurated in September 1882. Some wanted to place it in front of the Massimo Bellini Theater, then under construction, others on the site of the Elephant Fountain in Piazza Duomo.
